The FloorGlaze range is comprised of a load bearing construction of multi-layered panes of toughened and heat-soaked safety glass, resin-laminated together to carry pedestrian and concentrated loads. The laminate used is DuPont’s Sentryglas plus, which is five times stronger and up to 100 times stiffer than conventional laminating materials.
For the double glazed floors (F60, F30 and DG) the top panel is combined with an under pane of laminated glass, which includes a high performance coating to achieve a U value of 1.1 W/m2/K.
This complex build-up of glass panels will provide the silence of an acoustic performance of 50 Db (Rw) along with the elimination of the transmission of UV rays. Peace from the noise and peace of mind in the knowledge that solar bleaching has been controlled.
Every FloorGlaze glass floor comes with a painted band, in a choice of colours, around the perimeter. This band is baked onto the under surface of the glass to clean up the view of the panel edge.
For a crisp, 'whiter' appearance these floors can be supplied with Low Iron glass to allow an amazing 80% light transmittance and give true transparency from one level to the other.
If you have an issue with privacy or slipperiness then the glass can be sandblasted, either fully or as a pattern.
